Deputies arrest three teenagers for fatal shooting on Pawleys Island

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WBTW) – Authorities in Georgetown County arrested three juveniles connected to a fatal shooting on Pawleys Island.

Deputies responded to a residence on Martin Luther King Road late Wednesday evening in response to a robbery and shooting death of a man.

That man was later identified as Deondre Brown.

Investigators conducted interviews at Waccamaw High Schoool on Thursday where they took three juvenile males into custody.

Aiden Marshall Zasimoritch, 17, was arrested and is considered an adult due to the nature of the crime. 18-year-old Colby Barnes was also arrested along with a 15-year-old. Charges are pending.

Deputies say the robbery and shooting are not related to any school event or activity in any way. There were no weapons at the school, and at no time were students or staff in any danger.

An investigation is ongoing.
