Glenn McConnell reopens to traffic after power lines struck by garbage truck

 CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department responded to power lines down at Glenn McConnell between Bairds Cove and West Cat Boulevard closed to traffic due to down power lines.

Glen McConnell between Biards Cove and Wild Cat Boulevard has reopened to traffic, according to Public Information Officer Charles Francis.

A garbage truck with its front end loader raised pulled down the power lines, Francis added. Dispatch received the initial call at 6:40 a.m.
