The Goose Creek Police Chief is requesting 10 new cars for the department’s aging fleet.
Tuesday Chief LJ Roscoe will ask Goose Creek City Council to approve purchasing ten new automobiles.
Two Dodge Rams would be used by animal control. The trucks cost $47,000 combined. The Chief says the department also needs seven Dodge Chargers that would be used by patrol officers. Combined the cars cost $169,000 and would cost $104,000 to outfit with lights and sirens. The Chief is also requesting a new SUV for the newly created COPS position.
