Goose Creek police chief to retire in January after 30 years

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) –  The Goose Creek police chief Harvey Becker will retire in January according to Public Information Officer Frank Johnson.

Chief Becker leads 66 commissioned officers and 27 civilian support personnel, according to the city of Goose Creek website.

Chief Becker is a graduate of the 153rd Session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy. Officials also states that he holds a Bachelor’s of Science from Lake Superior State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Theology from Saint Leo University.
