Guns and drugs seized over the weekend in N. Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) –  On February 15th, Officers responded to Wal-Mart at Center Pointe in reference to a detained shoplifter.   

During a probable cause search, a 22 Caliber Revolver was located in the front right pocket of her coat, according to Public Information Officer Spencer Pryor. The serial number had been scratched over many times in attempts to destroy the serial number on the firearm.  

Kapria Jacqulyne Mosley was charged with Unlawful Carry of a Firearm, Possession of a Handgun with an obliterated serial number, Possession of Cocaine Base, and Shoplifting 1st.

On February 16th, while patrolling in the area of Dorchester Road and Woodlawn Avenue, Officers observed the driver of a Kia Optima leaving 3680 Dorchester Road without its headlights on.  A traffic stop was initiated as the vehicle approached 3615 Dorchester Road and the driver’s side door opened and the driver began exiting the vehicle.  

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and Officers located two (2) bags of a green, plant-like material (5.75g and 9.05g) underneath the passenger seat; 1.8g of a green, plant-like material in the center console; a clear plastic bag containing a brown, powder-like substance in the map pocket of the driver’s side door which field-tested presumptive for Heroin, and a silver and black firearm concealed between the center console and the front passenger seat.   

Officers also located a magazine in the rear map pocket of the passenger seat as well as cash inside the vehicle.

Christopher Marquise Pratt-Dease was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Violent Crime,  Trafficking Heroin, PWID Marijuana, Possession of MDMA, DUS 1st, Failure to Use Headlight When Required
