How to Tackle Spring Cleaning Part III

Local News

Mount Pleasant, S.C. (WCBD)- Do you have unwanted items that are still in good condition? This Lowcountry organization wants to take them off your hands!

Dennis Emma, the ReStore Manager for East Cooper Habitat for Humanity says his donation center will pick up items for free from your home or business.

Emma says the store has roughly 300 pickups per month and since it is a non-profit, your donations are tax deductible.

The store except a variety of items including rugs, dishes, sporting equipment, appliances and more. For a complete list, click here.

Each donated item is sold a reduced price and Emma says the profit from sales goes towards building habitat homes in the Mount Pleasant Area.

But the giving doesn’t stop there. Fifty percent of profits go towards the groups partner, Seacoast Church, which performs mission work throughout the community.

Dennis says, “That’s just the process that we keep on doing and doing and doing and it just works real well. It’s a great place to work”.
