CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- Adam Gorlitsky founded the nonprofit I Got Legs to help people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else.
Right now, I Got Legs is working to build a tiny house for Gina Applebee. She lost her sight at the age of 12 and has never lived independently. A tiny house would help her to have her own organized space and the ability to be completely self-sufficient.
On Saturday, May 5th, Gorlitsky and Applebee will be walking the Ravenel Bridge from 9 AM-5 PM to raise awareness for this cause. They invite the community to join them for all or some of the eight hour walk. They also need community donations of building materials and volunteer labor to make the tiny house dream a reality.
