Isle of Palms may consider night time construction for Wild Dunes hotel

ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) – The Isle of Palms is considering night construction for the new Wild Dunes hotel.

Over the next 10 months, you may hear some noise off Palm Boulevard when trucks are pouring 20,000 cubic yards of concrete.

Hundreds of concrete trucks may conduct night time trips in an attempt to alleviate daytime traffic concerns starting next month through April 2020.

It’s important to note that if this proposal is approved, it would only be a couple of nights every month. The most being seven nighttime construction schedules in August and September — dwindling to six in October, four in November and two nights during the months of December through April.

City Council will vote on the proposed hours and times of construction on May 28th.
