Kitten stolen from Pet Helpers was left at an animal hospital Tuesday

Local News

CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – A 10-month-old mixed black and gold cat named Venus has been returned after officials say it was stolen from Pet Helpers Sunday afternoon.

The suspects, three women who came in, started talking to a volunteer at the front desk while another put the kitten in her sweatshirt — and left.

On Tuesday, the kitten was found at Daniel Island Animal Hospital.

Workers there say they heard meowing and realized the cat was left in a box there, overnight.

Pet Helpers told us yesterday; if kitten was not returned within 24 hours they would pursue the suspects to the fullest extent of the law.
