The Charleston County Sheriff’s office has a shortage at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center.

They say they need to fill more than 90 deputy jobs. That’s a lot of open positions and opportunities for people looking for work.

The sheriff’s office says no experience is necessary, but you must to be at least 21 and have no criminal record. Training will be provided.

On Saturday, they’re holing a career Day at the facility. It will feature demonstrations by some of the specialized units deputies can join after becoming employed. You can also take a tour and start the hiring process.

All you need to bring is your driver’s license.

It’s taking place Saturday, May 11th at the Al Cannon Detention Center at 3841 Leeds Avenue, North Charleston from 9:00am-2:00pm.
