Lowcountry barista searching for good Samaritan after receiving special gift

Local News

CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – An employee at Bitty and Beau’s Coffee on Church Street in downtown Charleston is asking for help identifying a good Samaritan.

Barista Trista says she was working at the coffee shop a few months ago when she commented on a customer’s purse.

She says that customer simply emptied the purse out and gave it to her.

Trista is now asking for help identifying the woman in the picture so she can thank her one more time.

‘The customer talked to my manager and asked ‘is it okay if I give this to Trista for her birthday?’ and she was so sweet about it, giving her purse to me. The most amazing gift I’ve ever gotten,” she said.

Bitty and Beau’s Coffee opened in Charleston this past February. The coffee house employs 60 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
