Lowcountry man facing charges following morning shooting that left two dead in Moncks Corner

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – Two people are dead following a “domestic-related” shooting early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on Trivers Drive in Moncks Corner.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury identified those victims as 31-year-old Curtis Frazier and 29-year-old Allontay Akeem Houston. Both died of gunshot wounds.

Roddrik O’Neal Gadsden, 25, of Moncks Corner was taken into custody and lodged in the Hill-Finklea Detention Center and charged with unlawful carrying a pistol.

Moncks Corner Police Detectives and Investigators from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office processed the scene and are continuing to investigate the facts surrounding a possible motive and the actions of all of the individuals involved, Chief Rick Ollic stated. 

Autopsy results on both victims are also pending, Ollic added. Police officials are also conferring with the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office prior to issuing additional charges.
