Lowcountry Orphan Relief provides local children with necessities during a crisis

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- Lowcountry Orphan Relief (LOR) provides emergency items to local children in need, often in situations like transitioning to a foster home or living in a shelter.

LOR has served close to 30,000 children since it was founded in 2006. The organization creates bags filled with necessities like clothing, toiletries, books and school supplies. LOR also partners with community schools to create “Just in Case Closets” to fill the immediate needs of children at school.

LOR is currently accepting donations, you can find a list of the items they need here.
