Man and Dog Rescued After Boat Overturns

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a man and dog who fell off a boat in Butler Creek Monday night. 

The Georgetown Sheriff’s office water rescue teams led efforts to locate and identify the boater, Andrew Work of Murrells Inlet. Work called an individual for help when he and his dog fell into the water. They were both located and brought to the Sandy Island boat landing. Work was checked out by EMS and was reported to be in good health.
