CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – Authorities say a Charleston man is facing burglary charges after being identified as a suspect in three residential burglaries that occurred on July 12th in West Ashley.
Justin Tyshad Chisolm, 26, is accused of burglarizing one residence twice on the same day.
It was around 5:00 a.m. on July 10th officers responded to a burglary in progress call at a residence on Muirfield Parkway. The suspects fled the area before the officer could arrive to the scene.
According to a press release from the Charleston Police Department, surveillance video provided by the homeowner captured three suspects on the property.
One of the suspects is seen entering an unlocked vehicle while the other two suspects enter onto the porch. At this time, outside lights turn on and the suspects run, going westbound on Muirfield Parkway.
Nothing appeared missing from the vehicle or the outside of the residence.
Later that morning, just before 8:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to a home on Fieldfare Way where at about 2:00 a.m. a suspect entered through the exterior side garage door. The suspect can be seen on surveillance video walking through the residence and then leaving.
The release says three hours later that suspect returned to the Fieldfare Way residence with another man. Both can be seen on surveillance video entering the residence through the same garage door. They walk into the living room and the owner’s dog begins to bark. The suspects then ran out of the house.
Nothing was reported missing from the residence.
Chisolm is charged with three counts of Burglary 1st Degree. He was denied bond Friday.
