Mayor of Mt. Pleasant encourages people to visit local businesses following Hurricane Florence

Local News

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD)- Mayor of Mt. Pleasant, Will Haynie, says the town is lucky to emerge from the impacts of Hurricane Florence unscathed.

He says, to his knowledge, no flooding, property damage, or injury was reported in Mt. Pleasant during the storm. However, the wind, rain, and evacuations were damaging to Mt. Pleasant business owners who had to close up shop. To combat the lost revenue, the Town of Mt. Pleasant is asking business owners to email so they can highlight businesses when they have reopened.
