COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) – Tonight’s $470 million jackpot is the latest in a line of mega jackpots experienced by the Mega Millions® game this year.

In 2018, jackpots worth $543 million, $533 million and $451 million have already been won, according to the news release.

Interested shoppers can buy a Mega Millions ticket for tonight’s 6th largest jackpot for $2 at most convenience stores and grocery stores in our state. For a second $1, the Megaplier® may be purchased to multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, or 5.

The Lottery is reporting steady sales in a state hungry for its first Mega Millions jackpot win, spokesperson Holli Armstrong stated.

A South Carolinian will have to beat the 1 in 303 million odds to walk away with Tuesday night’s $265 million cash payout.

Tickets must be purchased by 10 p.m. for tonight’s 11 p.m. drawing.

Please, play responsibly.
