Metal detectors could be coming to the North Charleston Coliseum, Performing Arts Center

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – North Charleston City Council is considering buying 23 portable walk-through metal detectors for major events.

They would go into the North Charleston Coliseum, Convention Center and Performing Arts Center.

North Charleston City Council plans to discuss awarding nearly $110,000 for those detectors to the lowest bidder, a company from Ohio, during a meeting Thursday night.
