N. Charleston FD extinguishes fire at old naval base

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) –  On October 16, at approximately 1:33 p.m. the North Charleston Fire Department responded to a commercial fire located in the 1600 block of Drydock Avenue in North Charleston.  

First arriving units reported smoke and fire showing from an unoccupied storage warehouse, according to Fire Marshal Cindy Killette.  Units from the North Charleston Fire Department with assistance from the Charleston Fire Department, St. Andrews Fire Department and James Island PSD Fire Department were able to extinguish the fire, Killette aded.  

The Charleston County EMS is on-scene.

No injuries have been reported and the fire is currently being investigated.
