N. Charleston PD searching for suspects who attempted to grab child from mother

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department responded to the entrance of the Colony North Neighborhood on Northside Drive shortly before 8:30 a.m.  

Officers met with an adult female who advised that she was walking in the area with her child when a male and female exited the wood line and approached her, according to Public Information Officer Spencer Pryor.  The male was armed with a handgun and attempted to grab the child, Pryor stated.  

The mother pulled the child away and the suspects fled back in to the woods.

The one suspect is described as a white male, estimated to be in his 40’s, 6′ and approximately 140 pounds, clean shaven, wearing black t-shirt, and blue jeans.

The other suspect is described as a white female, in her 30’s, 5’10”, weighing 180 pounds, blonde shoulder length hair, wearing a white t-shirt
