NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Fire Department is investigating a fire that happened Sunday afternoon at Noah’s Ark Missionary Baptist Church.
A 911 caller reported the fire and said everyone was safely out of the building around 4:29 p.m., according to Deputy Chief Stephanie Julazadeh.
Upon arrival, firefighters reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the church’s roof.
Three people who were inside the building at the time of the fire were checked out by Charleston County EMS, but refused medical treatment.
The cause of that fire is under investigation.
