NCPD investigates argument that turned into a shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – North Charleston Police responded to a reported shooting at a BP gas station off Ashley Phosphate Sunday morning. 

According to NCPD, shortly before 10 a.m., officers responded to 2707 Ashley Phosphate Road for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that one of two black males shot him after arguing at the gas station. 

During the investigation, officers learned that the victim became involved in a verbal altercation. According to NCPD, the two subjects left and pulled on Stall Road in a gray four door sedan. 

Witnesses reported the suspect’s vehicle fled onto Ashley Phosphate toward Rivers Avenue. The victim was transported to Trident Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
