NCPD investigating after female victim shot during argument on Garrett Avenue

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston are investigating after one person was shot during an argument early Tuesday morning.

According to NCPD spokesman, Spencer Pryor, officers were dispatched to Garrett Avenue around 2:00 a.m. in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim who had been shot in the right shoulder.

Pryor said the victim reported that her cousin and her cousin’s ex-boyfriend, who is identified as the suspect, were arguing over some personal belongings.

We’re told the suspect then pulled out a handgun and opened fire on them, striking the victim.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a black 4-door sedan.
