NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston say a man was robbed after attempting to trade a pistol for a pit bull.

According to NCPD spokesman Spencer Pryor, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 8700 block of Fairwind Driver after receiving a report of an armed robbery shortly before 2:00 p.m.

Pryor said the victim made contact with an individual on Craigslist and made plans to trade a pistol for a pit bull. But upon arriving at the location, two black males approached him and presented a handgun.

The two reportedly demanded the pistol and then fled on foot.

We’re told the investigation is on-going.
