NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston responded to the scene of a shooting in the area of Success Street and Rivers Avenue.

Spencer Pryor with the North Charleston Police Department tells News 2 the suspect fled the scene in a possible gold Ford Focus.

The driver of the tan truck said he did not want to speak on camera, but he did tell us what happened.

He was sitting at the stop sign on Success Street when a car pulled up to the white truck and began shooting into the white truck, which caused the victim’s truck to crash into the tan truck.

The driver of the tan truck says he ducked and called 911. Several shots were fired, but all of them missed the tan truck.

The victim has been transported to MUSC with unknown injuries..

The victim alleges he left his families residence in the Dorchester Waylyn subdivision and while on Dorchester Road he observed a gold Ford Focus with out of state tags behind him, according to spokesman Spencer Pryor.

He alleges the vehicle continued to follow him until he crashed into the vehicle and that is when the occupants described as three black males opened fire on his vehicle striking him, Pryor added.

No further description and the incident remains under investigation.
