Officers arrest suspect who is accused of stabbing his roommate in their apartment

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Officers with the Charleston Police Department have apprehended a suspect who is accused of stabbing his roommate in their apartment.

Thomas Triplett, 43, of 256-B Howle Avenue, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a violent crime, according to Public Information Officer Charles Francis.

The roommate was transported to MUSC, Francis added.

The incident occurred at about 5:00 a.m. and Triplett is currently being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.
