If you noticed a lot of people down on the ground today in the West Ashley Greenway, they’re okay and they’re doing some good for the community.
The class was held outside for people to learn the proper ways to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
It’s part of CPR and AED Awareness month all through the month of June.
CPR can keep a person blood oxygenated after the heart stops until more advanced help can arrive.
Today’s event is part of a daylong nationwide collaboration hoping to get a quarter million people trained in CPR.
All with the goal of helping others save a life.
