Officials offer STEM summer camp program in N. Charleston

Local News

In North Charleston, science is the brain at Myers Crossing and they’re learning from the experts.

The training and learning center offered a summer camp program for elementary thru 12th-grade students to learn and increase their interest in STEM-related careers.

Campers will be exposed to a variety of lessons in rocketry, drones, robotics, astronomy, electricity, and general science.

To accomplish this, the center brings on a NASA trained instructor. Both Myers and Wilson say the mission is to get kids excited about science and to take them out of their comfort zones into potential careers.
