Orange Walk to bring awareness to gun violence on Saturday

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) Saturday is Gun Violence Awareness Day and to help raise awareness in the community, the Bradley Blake Foundation is partnering with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the Moncks Corner Police Department for the Tri-County Orange Walk on Saturday.

They ask for people who have lost a loved one to come wearing a t-shirt with their loved one’s face on it or you can buy an orange walk t-shirt for $10.

There will also be a program after the walk filled with music, activities, and food trucks. The special guest speakers for the program are Chris Singleton and Pastor Tory Liferidge of Grace Reform Episcopal Church.

The 3-mile walk will be at the Moncks Corner Recreation Complex. Registration is free and begins at 7:00 am. The walk itself begins at 8:00 am.
