Pageant celebrates women battling cancer

Local News

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – The Miss Cancer Warriot Pageant celebrates women who are battling or have survived cancer.

The pageant is the brain-child of Ylonda Nero, a cancer survivor herself. She had the idea to celebrate women in a way that recognizes their strength and courage during a challenging time in their life.

For the 3rd annual pageant, 13 women who are currently in treatment or have survived cancer showcase their strength and beauty. This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Hope.”

The pageant is at 5:30 PM on November 17th at the Royal Baptist Life Center in North Charleston. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
