Police apprehend suspect following home invasion that left Lowcountry realtor dead

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) –  The North Charleston Police Department arrest suspect in connection with the August 5th murder of Harold Hutzler inside of his Salamander Road residence.

During the investigation Elijah Prioleau, Jr., 24, was identified as a suspect.Officers received information that Prioleau was at a residence on East Surrey Drive, according to Public Information Officer Spencer Pryor.

Officers arrived at the location  and the suspect was not on scene but was later observed by officers on a bicycle in the area of East Surrey Drive and Accabee Road.  

Prioleau was taken in to custody and is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, Pryor added.  

He is expected to appear in bond court on Tuesday morning.
