Police chase ends with crash in Goose Creek, 3 people taken to the hospital

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCBD) – Three people are in the hospital after an early morning crash in Goose Creek.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a police chase began on Highway 52 east around 4:40 Tuesday morning.

It ended with a crash near Highway 78.

According to the SCHP, a 27-year-old driver of a 2011 Buick crashed into a 2016 Toyota.

Two people in the Toyota were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Buick was also taken to the hospital to be treated.

The early morning crash blocked traffic on Hwy 52 eastbound for nearly two hours causing a messy early morning drive for many people traveling away from Moncks Corner and Goose Creek.

The road reopened to traffic around 6:30 a.m.
