Police: Four suspects stole thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarettes

CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – Charleston Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying four suspects who they say have stolen thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarettes from area convenience stores.

On December 2, 2018, at about 9:30 p.m., three males and one female entered the Circle K, at 588 East Bay Street and were involved in the theft of at least 50 cartons of cigarettes, valued at $3,200.

Then on December 18 at about 8:45 a.m., the Sunoco, located at 737 Folly Road, reported the theft of at least 41 cartons of cigarettes, valued at $2,600.

The suspects are described as three black males and a black female. They are reportedly driving a red colored Kia Soul and a silver-colored Pontiac G6 or Chevrolet Cobalt.

Anyone with information about these individuals is asked to call the Charleston Police Department or Crime Stoppers of the Lowcountry at 843-554-1111.
