MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – On October 21, a threat was made through an online video chat to shoot students during lunch break at the Berkeley High School in Moncks Corner, according to Chief R. Ollic.
The Moncks Corner Police Department began an investigation to determine who made the threat. The news release states that the Moncks Corner Police Department, with the assistance of the State Law Enforcement Division’s Computer Crime Unit, were able to trace the source of the message and then identify the sender.
On October 23, 2018, the Moncks Corner Police Department located and arrested a juvenile for sending the threatening message.
The juvenile was charged with Unlawful Communication and Conveying Student Threats, which will be adjudicated in the Berkeley County Family Court, according to officials.
