Police make arrest in financial identity fraud case at area Lowes stores

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCBD) – Police in Goose Creek have made an arrest in a fraud case involving business accounts at Lowes home improvement stores.

The incidents reportedly happened between September 11 and September 16 .

Officials with the Goose Creek Police Department said two suspects fraudulently accessed business accounts to purchase items from both the James Island and Goose Creek Lowes stores without the owner’s knowledge or permission.

Purchases included a washing machine, dryer and thermostat totaling more than $7,000.

One of the suspects, later identified as 29-year-old Angelica Williams, was arrested on October 3rd.

Williams was booked at the Berkeley County Detention Center and released on a $15,000 surety bond.
