Police: N. Charleston murder suspect apprehended in Seattle

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) –  On January 13th, at approximately 8:41 p.m. officers arrived on the scene in the 5400 block of Califf Street in reference to a weapons incident.

Officers found a man dead from a gunshot wound, according to North Charleston spokesperson Spencer Pryor. Another man was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg, Pryor said. 

US Marshalls arrested Da’Shawn Marquis Richards aka TAZ, in connection with the January 13, 2019 homicide on Califf Street, according to the news release.  

Public Information Officer Spencer Pryor stated that Richards was apprehended without incident in Seattle, Washington.

NCPD Investigators are working on the extradition process.
