Police on scene of shooting in North Charleston

Charleston, SC (WCBD) – North Charleston Police are investigating after they say one person was injured in a shooting.

Charleston County Dispatch confirms the call came in at 8:49 PM.

Police say they arrived to the 5200 block of Rivers Avenue and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim told police he was shot in the area of Eleanor Drive.

The victim was transported to Trident Hospital, there is no word on his condition. No suspect information is known at this time.
