Pursuit of stolen vehicle ends with car accident, one in custody in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – At approximately 12:30 p.m. today, officers of the Georgetown Police Department engaged in a pursuit of a vehicle stolen from Myrtle Beach Airport.

The pursuit traveled south on Hwy 17 and ended when the vehicle was involved in a one car accident.

Three suspects ran from the vehicle, according to officials.The Georgetown Police Department, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, SC Highway Patrol and SLED set up a perimeter in the area of Whitehall Ave on 17S in search of the suspects.

One suspect, Naquan Spann is in custody at this time.

The investigation continues.
