CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Thomas Ravenel a politician, former State Treasurer, and reality television star on Southern Charm was arrested this morning and charged with Assault and Battery in the 2nd degree.

On January 25, 2015, Ravenel undressed and made sexual advances on the victim at the location on the 20 block of Charlotte Street, according to the affidavit.

While attempting to remove the victim’s clothing, the victim’s underwire bra cut into her skin and her shirt wrapped around her neck, which caused her to struggle to breath, the affidavit stated.
