Rehabilitated sea turtles were released back into the ocean Wednesday

FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCBD) – Sea turtles are being released back into the ocean today after spending time at the South Carolina Aquarium’s Turtle Care Center.

The release took place Wednesday morning at Folly Beach County Park.

Voldemort, Scabbers, and Dumbledore Loggerhead turtles weighing from 50 to 320 pounds are now back home.

Lots of people, including Storm Team 2 Meteorologist David Dickson, came went to the Edge Of America to see the sweet site.

Each of them spent a year in rehab for injuries including fishing line entanglement.
