CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Monday night, Charleston City’s Design and Review board will discuss renovations proposed for the Helping Children with Cancer Thrift Store on Savannah Highway.
This will be the first time the board will review the proposal, and discuss whether or not to move forward. The plans for renovations include converting the thrift store into a multi-tenant retail shop.
The goal of the renovation is to keep the same look to the building, with the same iconic signage, but give it a ‘face-lift.’ Plans include adding new amenities like a barber shop, a boutique, and some restaurants.
The city’s Design and Review Board will meet Monday night at five p.m. at the Gaillard Center’s public meeting room.
