Report: Victim riding bicycle hospitalized after drive-by shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department officers responded to a reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Eleanor Drive on September 4 at approximately 8:35 p.m., according to the incident report.

While officers were in route to the call additional calls came in stating that someone had been shot and was currently at the Circle K in the 5200 block of Rivers Ave, authorities stated.

Officers made contact with the victim on scene who had a gun shot wound to his abdomen with possible exit wound on his lower left back, according to the report.

He was also shot in the finger and had a grazing wound on his side. The victim stated in the report that he was riding his bike in Russeldale when someone in a car started shooting at him to which he then ran to the Circle K to call for help.

The victim was transported to Trident Medical Center, the report added.
