SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCBD) - The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice is preparing for a major change.
Director Freddie Pough wants to adjust the way the agency serve children, families and victims.
He wants to move underage offenders to facilities closer to home, instead of housing them in a centralized facility.
On Tuesday, the department will host a town hall meeting at Faith Assembly Church in Summerville.
State lawmakers and local law enforcement officers are expected to attend the event which begins at 6:00 p.m.
