SCDOT: ‘AquaDam’ installed on US-17 in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – Officials with the South Carolina Department of Transportation stated that the first 300 feet of the AquaDamn has been installed on US-17 in Georgetown.

Crews from SCDOT and the South Carolina National Guard will be working to continue the installation of this flood barrier.

Officials state that motorists should expect congestion and exercise extreme caution in the area.
