Local News

COLLETON COUNTY (WCBD) — Six people are now in custody in connection with the murder of Ashley Murdaugh in Colleton County.

Wayne Moore and Tammy Lott are both charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

A judge denied bond for the four other suspects.

Cynthia Caron, Martina Wolf, and Alfred Taylor, Junior are charged with first degree murder. John Dunigan is charged with accessory after the fact to homicide.

Authorities say one suspect confessed to killing Murdaugh three days before her family reported her missing. Deputies have not said who that suspect may be.

Murdaugh was found buried in the woods near Caron’s home where she lived with her daughter, Wolf. Authorities say Taylor, Junior is Wolf’s boyfriend.

News 2 has learned Caron and Wolf were already in jail after being arrested on August 7th for aggravated assault in an unrelated incident.

There is no word yet on a cause of death for Murdaugh.
