NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – CUTENESS ALERT: A North Charleston police officer welcomed a new family member this week – an adorable kitten, who together, make the purrfect match.

NCPD spokesman, Spencer Pryor said one of the department’s officers responded to I-526 and I-26 after receiving a call about a kitten hanging over the overpass.

Upon arrival, the policeman identified as ‘Officer Pace,’ was able to rescue the adorable feline and safely transported her to the SPCA.

The next day, the officer went to check on her and was asked if he could foster the kitten.

Who could resist? Of course, he accepted – it was love at first sight for Officer Pace’s family.

On Tuesday, Officer Pace and his wife officially adopted their newest family member.

We are told the kitten’s name is Bridgette.
