Charleston, S.C. (WCBD)- Spring break is quickly approaching which means you may be looking for ideas to keep your kids entertained. We’ve got you covered.
Lisa Bayorek, a mother and publisher for Macaroni Kid Charleston, say the website is chock full of fun ideas. It’s designed to deliver weekly news on kid and family-friendly events happening in the community. It includes a list of guides like, “50 Free Things to do in Charleston”, daily activities, and even places where kids can eat for free.
This spring break, Bayorek recommends heading to beach, she tells me she and 2 her sons like to look for shark teeth, “That’s a really fun thing to do. Go under the folly beach pier and find shark teeth”. Her son says if you’re persistent, you may hit the shark tooth jackpot and take home a Megalodon tooth.
Whether it’s eating some sweet treats Downtown or exploring the city, Bayorek says she’s just excited to spend some quality time with her sons, “They really do have an opportunity to get out and engage their brains in other ways and you have the opportunity to get out and spend that time with them. So I think it’s really great to get out and explore our beautiful city…you are just really going to cherish those memories with the kids”.
