Sullivan’s Island considering smoking ban on beach, town property

SULLIVAN’S ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – You may soon not be allowed to smoke on one Lowcountry beach.

Sullivan’s Island Town Council is discussing an ordinance that would prohibit smoking on both the beach and town property.

The ban will be considered during a regularly scheduled council workshop Monday evening.

The town says that ordinance is now in the hands of public safety.
