SULLIVAN’S ISLAND, SC (WCBD) – It can be scary when our four-legged friends go missing, but how much would you offer for their safe return?

A family living on Sullivan’s Island spent much of the weekend looking for their cat, Vail after she was spooked and ran out of the home.

Frantic to find their beloved cat, a white teacup Persian, the family offered a $10,000 reward for her safe return in a social media post that nearly went viral.

The owner of the cat, Lindsey, said Vail was located Monday morning at Sullivan’s Island Elementary.

We’re told a teacher found Vail on the kindergarten steps near Station 19 where she initially ran away.

Lindsey tells us they’ve had Vail for about two years.

The owner has offered that teacher the reward, but it is unclear if they will accept it.
