NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The North Charleston Police Department has arrested Jerry King, 45, in connection to Friday morning’s shooting near the corner of Disco Street and Raven Avenue.
Police believe king shot a man who was riding a bicycle.
Witnesses told officers that someone in a blue BMW was chasing the victim moments before the shooting.
Police identified King as the suspect, and arrested him at a business on Rivers Avenue. King is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
A bond hearing is scheduled on Saturday morning.
According to police, King and the victim knew each other. Officers are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
